About the project:
Invo is a healthcare companion app designed for a smart ring — a clean, human-centered health experience that helps users understand their body's signals without drowning them in data. Having already navigated the complexities of smart ring integrations with KIN, we brought all of that hard-won experience to this one and hit the ground running.
Objectives:
- Design a healthcare app experience that makes complex biometric data feel accessible, not clinical — something users actually want to open each day
- Translate the client's vision for their smart ring companion into a polished, production-ready UI/UX that their development team could bring to life
- Deliver a design system consistent enough to scale across the full range of health features while remaining warm and approachable at every screen
Our approach:
- Our prior experience with KIN SmartRing was the unfair advantage here — we already knew the design challenges that come with presenting biometric data, the pairing flows, and the emotional tone a health companion needs to get right
- This was an outsourced design engagement, so our job was execution and speed. We moved confidently, and the handoff was smooth because we'd already solved the hard problems once before on KIN
- Every design decision was filtered through one question: does this make the user feel informed and in control, or does it just add noise? That clarity kept the product tightly focused throughout
