About the project:
Descience Capital is the most creatively ambitious product Capylabs has ever designed — a DeSci investment platform unlike anything else on the blockchain market. The client came to us with a bold, clear vision: a fully hand-drawn, hand-animated retro world with a personality so distinctive that nothing else on the market could be mistaken for it. We delivered that, and then some.
Objectives:
- Create a visual identity and digital experience so distinctive that it stood completely apart from everything else in the blockchain and DeSci space — something the market had genuinely never seen before
- Build a hand-drawn, hand-animated retro website where every frame, character, and transition felt crafted by human hands — because that handmade quality was the entire point
- Design and deploy a system of 250,000 completely unique, hand-drawn NFTs alongside a dense, reliable smart contract infrastructure capable of handling the full complexity of the platform
Our approach:
- This one started with art, not code. The entire visual universe — the website, the characters, the animations, and the NFT collection — was sketched, drawn, and animated by hand in a retro style that had no existing reference on the blockchain market
- Producing 250,000 unique NFTs required building a sophisticated generation pipeline that could combine hand-crafted art layers while ensuring every output was genuinely one-of-a-kind, with no repeats
- The smart contract architecture was one of the most complex we've ever built: over 15 interconnected smart contracts and vault contracts running in parallel, all designed to work together seamlessly under real user load and trading conditions
Results:
- A product so visually distinctive that people in the blockchain space still reference it as a benchmark for creative ambition — because nothing else looks remotely like it
- A fully deployed NFT system of 250,000 unique, hand-drawn collectibles — each one genuinely different from every other
- A robust smart contract infrastructure of 15+ contracts running reliably in production, handling fund allocation, governance, and vault mechanics without a hitch
