About the project:
Boolean is a decentralized perpetual trading protocol built on EVM-compatible blockchains — fully on-chain, non-custodial, and built for the kind of traders who want real leverage with real control. Traders can open LONG/SHORT positions on project tokens using those same tokens as collateral, with up to 500x leverage. LPs step in as the counterparty, deposit into per-token vaults, and earn fees and trading profits. Everyone has skin in the game.
Objectives:
- Build a fully on-chain perpetual trading protocol that gives traders real leverage — up to 500x — on project tokens, without relying on centralized infrastructure
- Create a vault system where LPs can stake tokens, act as counterparty to trades, and earn fees in a transparent and trustless way
- Design a modular, upgradeable smart contract architecture that can evolve as the protocol grows without compromising security
Our approach:
- Building a trading platform is never easy. Building a decentralized one with leverage, vaults, and on-chain settlement is a whole other level — and this project pushed us hard on security in ways we hadn't faced before
- We went deep on smart contract security: auditing our own logic, stress testing edge cases around liquidations, vault accounting, and price manipulation, and learning to balance protocol safety with the real business requirements that traders actually need
- The modular architecture was a deliberate call — keeping contracts composable and upgradeable so the protocol can adapt without needing a full redeploy every time the market evolves
Results:
- A live, fully on-chain perpetual trading protocol that handles leveraged positions and vault mechanics without a centralized intermediary in sight
- A security-first codebase that grew the whole team's understanding of what it really takes to build trustworthy DeFi infrastructure
- A protocol that gives both traders and LPs a genuinely fair and transparent place to participate in the market
